Early life of Salman Khan

Salman Khan was born on December 27, 1965. His father's name is Salim Khan and mother's name is Sushila Charak [Salma Khan]. His ancestors were from the Pathan family of Afghanistan 150 years ago who later settled in Indore district of India. Salim Khan's father is a script writer who has done script writing in many of Amitabh's films. Salman Khan's mother Sushila Charak was a Marathi Hindu whose father had come from Kashmir. For this reason, Salman considers himself as both religions.

Salman Khan's stepmother, Helen, who had acted in many earlier films. Salman has two brothers Arbaaz  and Sohail Khan. Arbaaz Khan married Malika Arora Khan, who is a fine-looking dancer. Sohail Khan married Seema Sachdev. Salman has two sisters Alvira Khan and Arpita Khan. Alvira Khan married film actor and director Atul Agnihotri and Arpita Khan married Ayush Sharma. Arpita Khan was adopted by Salim Khan.Salman studied in a school of Bandra till 12th class. Earlier, he had studied at the Scindia School in Gwalior for a few years. After passing 12th he took admission in Elphinstone College but in the second year he left college.
